THE DAVID FOSTER STORY
"I didn't start TerraKat to become an ag equipment salesman. I started it because as a 4th-generation dairyman, I was tired of lying on frozen ground at 2 AM trying to replace shear pins on a $120,000 spreader."
Operating a commercial dairy in Kansas means spreading thousands of tons of heavy solids, wet bedded pack, and dense slurry each season. Every time a loader bucket accidentally scooped a stray chunk of rock, concrete, or drill pipe, conventional spreaders broke.
David knew what working farmers actually needed: a machine with massive 1-inch plate steel beaters, zero shear pins, and heavy-duty planetary drives that would keep moving regardless of what foreign obstacles were dumped inside.
LEVELING THE PLAYING FIELD
By engineering and manufacturing direct with agricultural partners, TerraKat delivers commercial-grade 20-ton and 25-ton spreaders at prices substantially lower than legacy corporate conglomerates.
SAME-DAY PARTS DISPATCH
We stock full replacements for every bearing, hydraulic motor, floor slat, and beater tooth at our Fort Scott facility. When you need a component during spring application, it ships immediately.
TESTED ON REAL ACRES
Every new design is first run on real commercial dairy and beef operations across Kansas. If a machine cannot survive dense slurry and frozen manure under real harvest pressure, we will not sell it.
